La bohemienne et les Amis

This beautiful little pop up restaurant has an exotic name which translates to ‘the bohemian and her friends’ and it opened up in Shillong two weeks ago. The eclectic decor lends a beautiful Elizabethan charm to the place. That combined with the slightly dark grey weather of Shillong and you might as well be transported to 18th century England.

The restaurant is open Thursday to Sunday and serves Assamese fusion food. The well crafted menu focuses on heathy, nutritious food. Pictured above is the raw, vegan, flour-less, sugar free beetroot cake. Although I was a little sceptical at the thought of a dessert which sounded so healthy, once I tasted it, it was surprisingly good. The lovely decor and ambience coupled with the refreshing menu makes this place a must visit if you’re in Shillong.
